Core Voltage Question

In this section you have to enter the Core Voltage for your CPU. The Core Voltage is monitored by the LM78, LM78-j, LM79, WinBond W83781D, WinBond W83782D, WinBond W83783S and GL518SM, and these chips can monitor 2 ports. You have to determine yourself which port this is.

The 1st step you should do is determine your CPU’s Core Voltage. This can be found in the manual of your Motherboard. For those of you who can’t find it or don’t know I have Included a little list .

The 2nd step is to determine which Port needs to be monitored by the program. As a rule you can go from the fact that Socket 7 CPU’s use Port 1 and Slot 1 CPU’s (Pentium II’s) use Port 0. You can also determine this with a bit of logic: if your Core Voltage is 2.8v and port 0 shows 2.79v while port 1 shows 1.4v you can be pretty sure you need Port 0

If you have a dual CPU board then you will probably have to check both ports.
